Our goals for the hub are numerous,
but one in particular is a new approach towards data sharing.

The typical order of operations in the academic environment involves performing and publishing scientific advancements. This model provides little space for practical, small-scale technical tests.

We strongly believe that the brain organoid field is evolving quickly, yet there are many straightforward and easily testable questions that remain about optimization and best practices.

The hub has now set out to fill this gap. In short, we will:

(1) Perform various tests to compare, optimize, and improve protocols related to brain organoid formation, culture, and patterning.

(2) Post our findings here on the Hub Blog to be easily accessed by the larger community.

Importantly, we would be excited to hear your ideas and comments about conditions you would like to see directly tested. We’ll add them to the queue so that we can empirically address as many questions as we can get to!
